Im looking into buying a new case but i dont know if the mobo will fit. Some descriptions say P4 some dont say anything but that it is ATX. And how could you find out what form factor you have? Also any sugestions on the case?

All new boards are ATX form factor, I doubt you have an AT motherboard, if you do it is definately time to upgrade.

Well i had a p3 at 684 but it is a slot 1. That seems to be somewhat recent. ( i upgraded to 1.4 Ghz) But will all ATX fit in all ATX cases? or are some specific to others?

Any ATX board you get will fit in all ATX cases, some may have more room than others, but all atx cases work with atx boards.

Like Red said, basically as long as the form factor matches you're okay. However, that doesn't mean you have a big case! In my experience, I do a lot of mail ordering for parts, one time I ordered a ATX case, generic. I was trying to be cheap and it bit me in the ass. The thing barely held the mobo and two drive bays. It didn't even accomodate all of my PCI slots.

Well then any sugestions on a new case or where to buy. ( i know new egg) I am not looking to spend to much money 50 to 80. And i am also wondering if i should get a new Sound card but that is a whole different subject isnt it. (w00t)

I'm not too familiar with the cases, but you can snag a nice cheap one at either NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com) or Googlegear (http://www.googlegear.com). If you want a pre-modded case or something cool, be sure to take a peek at PCMods (http://www.pcmods.com) and Directron (http://www.directron.com).

As for the soundcard, what do you have right now?

I highly recommend posting here (http://www.hardforum.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=15&forumid=33), these guys know all. Though they're generally biased against Creative. In my experience it really matters what you're going to use it for. I don't do music (mixing and the like) so my SB Live 5.1 Digitlal Entertainment is great for me. Got a good price on it at Googlegear (http://www.googlegear.com) too!
