yeah, i want to build a linux box and stuff...
just is going to be cheap stuff, like micro-atx axp 1800+ and 256megs of ram... 20gb of hdd space at least and stuff

its going to be used for hosting my site from home (thinking about getting a static ip thru my cable provider), and general web surfing/email. my current box will be upgraded to a axp 2400 or 2600+, and my 1800 will go in the linux box. sound like a good idea? (btw, no moniter/keyboard needed after setup, im going to telenet to it.) B)

Be sure to check with ur ISP, some dont allow you to have a server... i'd snag a regular motherbaord with onboard everything, that way you dont have to buy any cards, then throw it in a case with good cooling on the hard drive if you plan on having any amount of activity on it...

Get a cheap keyboard ($5 comp usa) and find a moniter at a yard sell (I got a 15 gateway that runs great for $5) that way you can play around on the OS any time you feel like it.

yeah i like micro-atx due to the onboard everything, and stuffs.
as for my isp, i currently have a site, but its more of a local one (http://ryan/) but it can also be remotly accessed via my ip (think i showed you via irc? tobalaz for sure)
