Awp Check!?

Just curious as to why awp check is on the server. I bought an awp last night and it slapped me down to 2 HP. That really sucked. I know a lot of people abuse the awp, but what about the rest of us who really like to use it sometimes?

BSOD put it on when he set up the server...I personally hate the thing and usually turn it off as soon as I log on.

Some maps become unplayable when AWP abuse takes hold. Siege for instance is just pointless wth 3 or 4 awpers on T.

Deploy only in instances of Vegeta...

I personally feel the AWM is just another gun and is not invincible. But it can unbalance certain maps, especially when an entire team has one and they camp a sniper spot... i think it should only be turned off when abused, not just because it exists and someone doesnt like it...

I can't shoot an awp worth a hill of beans,,, barely shoot a scout.

Considering the camp maps for either side I would suggest limiting EACH team to 1 AWP/AWM.

I don't mind rushing to my death( and do that quite frequently lately) But Damn 3 or 4 awps on an opposing team will make it IMPOSSIBLE!,,, and I would imagine that I speak for several others on this point.

True the awp is the devils dildo and I used to hate watching the pwn upon my brow.

But Since maps like scoutzknivez and the various awpmaps out there Ive increased my skill in using such problem causing devices. There is much joy in cappin peeps in the head and then finishing off thier team with the awp I just stole. But this is my personal opinion.
Sure awps can suck and yes some maps should not have it at all. My suggestion is we should vote on it. Should we limit the awp, ban the awp, or get really good at it and kick everyones ass :D I also think we should met on server and share more tactics with each other and learn from each other to increase our skill.

I like the idea of the slap when you buy it, but taking off 95 health is waaay too much. I think it should be around 30 - 50.

Not being a member of [THE], i'll make a suggestion anyways. Can you ban/limit AWP use for individual maps? if so, simply decide what maps suck with AWP and what maps need to have a limit on AWP use... The 20-50% HP slap idea isnt bad either, because even though i dont feel the AWP gives any significant advantage, it can be abused and can be deadly when used by someone with skill...

hm, i agree with jesus that certain maps should have certain restrictions.
i do like the idead about the restrictions, because it's just god damn ghey somtimes when like the whole team has them and just camps and stuff
