hmmm....well one day i open windows media and well, i get audio, but no video. Same goes with Real Player. Quicktime and Divx seem to work fine
i've got all the codecs and tried using some of those things like FFdshow, but still no results. so i would appreciate it if i could some help on this :)

oh, and btw, i was using windows media player 7.0 or something, then i changed it to 9.0, but still nadda i'm also using Windows 2000

Did the loss of video happen when you upgraded to wmp9 or while you were in wmp7?

well first, i opened it, only audio, no video
then i upgraded to 9.0 to see if that fixed it, but it didnt' fix it

All I could think of was make sure you've got the latest versions for your video drivers, direct x, direct draw, and all of your service packs.
That's just wierd, I've never heard of loosing just one media player before. Maybe one of the codecs isn't compatable with 2000.

uh okay, thx for your help, i'll try getting the service-packs because i don't have the lastest one, hmmm....i'll try re-installing all of those drivers and all and see what happens
