How would i go about making the background of a photoshop have Matrix code, or how could i have a sky like pattern tiled across the background?

You could always use the clone/stamp tool and just run it from a source image ;). BTW, moved to the appropriate forum.

Use layers, but try not to flatten the image unnessacarily :P!

Use the little eye icon on the layer properties boxes to hid the layers you don't want merged, then go to thrr 'layers' drop down menu and hit 'merge visible'. Or use 'flattern...' to just merge the whole thing.
