M'kay well I am a fucktard for not remembering what happened last time I tried to update my drives. I tried to update to the CAT 3.0 drivers ... and well... it has killed all my games. Except Need For Speed. *shrug* For some reason I don't think its completly ATI's fault. Other users on other boards have had similar problems with the Sound Blaster Live 5.1 series. Gawd I hate Creative soo much .. but I keep buying their products >_<

A lesson I learned the hard way. Don't replace your drivers unless something stops working. I satyed with a CAT release from October. I ain't upgrading to 16FSAA capable shit until something doesnt work properly. <_<

Actually there was something wrong. I wasn't able to run some stuff correctly and I have had this problem before. Long story short I am reinstalling my system.

I've gotten mixed results from the Catalyst 3.0's. When I had the 2.5's I had kick ass performance in Max Payne (game of the moment) with DirectX 9, yet I was getting really shitty performance from UT2K3. When I upgraded to the 3.0's, Max now has FPS problems and now Deus Ex has these weird artifact "lacing" problems.

Good luck, 2K makes my skin itch. ATI really needs to clean up the Catalyst 3.0's, IMO they're pieces of shit. They make some games kick ass, while making others total crap.

Looks to me they took the 3.0 off the site, only 2.5's if you do a driver search. Maybe they realized the isssues and are fixing them.

Nope, they're right here (http://mirror.ati.com/online/showcase/catalystdx9.html). Also the only link to them is this image:

Tan, have you ever changed your video card's BIOS? Have you flashed your mobo BIOS recently, or looked for a newer BIOS?

I looked into that and found that they all give the same results and the original bios is more stable than the newer ones
