I got an AK32L mobo and i would sure like to kno how to OC it. I have set the FSB up by like the tiniest bit and then when i apply the settings the computer goes black. IF i reboot the computer doesnt start up (it turns on but that comforting boot up beep doesnt come up) and it remains black (turning my monitor into standby mode). So i have to reset the CMOS with a jumper. I'm pretty sure (well its kinda obvious) i need to set a jumper for OCing, but i have no idea which one to set. Does anybody know anything about this mobo and what jumper i need to set? Or where i could find information about it? thx.

There's no jumper that I know of, it's all in the BIOS. But remember its a KT266 board, not a KT266A. It won't overclock that well in the first place.

Ah i see. Yea it works now i dont kno why it didnt before. And btw would you kno of any good mobos that are really good for OCing? I have some spare money and wana do some OCing to take advantage of my future 7fan case. Thx.

The Epox 8K5A2+ is the best overclocking board of all time. There are none better. Epox makes very stable boards, but they usually don't have as many 'features' as MSI or ASUS

K thx, id like to get rid of this cheesy motherboard ive got, its not a bad modo it just...feels slow. Maybe ill try to sell this mobo and my 2 sticks of pc2100 ram (which also feels slow bcuz they are both different brands and i dont like that much) and then get that mobo and one nice stick of 512 pc2700 corsair ram. That along with the ability to overclock my CPU nicely should bring my 3Dmark scores well into the 10,000's, lol. Any tips or if anyone wants to buy my junk, lemme know.

Well do you wana buy both sticks? Thats probably the only way id sell them, but if your seriously interested, i could probably let them both go for something in the range of $140 ($70 each), remember i have to use this money to buy another stick to replace it with so. And if anyone can confirm, can I use PC2700 ram in a mobo that only supports 266? Only the 333MHz stuff wouldnt go as fast as it could? Or would it just not work at all? PM me if your really interested.

Ok, well ive O/Ced it a bit and was able to get it to 1.7GHz without acting all wierd with freezes and stuff in 3Dmark. If its causing it to be unstable like that, does that mean that im just overclocking too high? or do i need to set the voltage up a bit? Ive gone up to 1.75GHz at the highest but when i run 3Dmark it crashes, freezes up, and restarts randomly, obviously not too stable, so im wondering if its just a voltage thing or if ive pretty much hit my O/Cing limit? Any ideas? anyone?
