So what'd you think?

I don't think it's a good idea to let a single party control the house, the senate, and the executive branch.

I don't think it's a good idea to let EITHER party control the house, the senate, executive or judicial branch.
Dems and Reps have become pretty much cookie cutter, all screw you over one way or another.
We need to get a couple of independents in there to mix it up and THIS was the year since we have supreme court justices retiring and an independent would have made a huge impression on the judicial branch fro years to come.
We need change in our leadership and we need for the general public to get the balls to stand together and say no more to both parties.
Maybe I'm a bit more bitter with politicians because my state has been loosing more jobs than in the great depression and all I hear about is how everything is just fantastic.

well, if one party doesn't control everything, all you get is gridlock it seems. i don't really know how the parties differ tbh...you'ld think it would be easy to be non-partisan with more things. especially the improtant ones, which generally are party agnostic (or so you'ld think...environment, education, health care etc). i guess we'll see what barack can actually do...

I agree about the due process gridlock. Hopefully he can do something about the gigantic mountain he has to work against. I voted Obama but I don't think anybody who might have won would have any less of a battle with this mess. Anyone else think McCain would have had a better shot with a different running mate? There was no way that I would have voted McCain with Palin that close to the presidency. Lol. (http://www.grizzlybay.org/SarahPalinInfoPage.htm)

McCain would have had a better shot if he didn't pander to the RNC and other big campaign donors and instead kept his campaign focused on the ideals he believes in. It's true that Palin was an atrocious choice of VP and he paid for that as well.
