As talked about in a previous thread; a good portion of us miss the days of playing in and with our THE and TH friends. Seeing as how the 'old' clan was primarily a one game focus (being CS then BF) it was only inevitable before people started drifting away.... which leads us to where we are today.

What I"m curious to know is, how many of us that are/were associated with THE
interested in starting back up with our own clan of sorts??? How many members from back n the day do we have now? How many still play with YG and such?
Who would be serious in starting our own server(s) and donating?

I would like to seem some interesting discussion, your thoughts, opinions, ideas, fears etc....


If at all possible. Can somebody get ahold of [THE] senior members. i.e. Greg, Fred, Lappy etc.. I would like to see them back involved with this topic.

Went onto YG one day with the tag on, and someone was like "Hey, I thought [THE] was dead." I was at a loss for words.

I'd love to jump into something again, jumping around from server to server gets old after a while.

CS 1.6 is still alive, CS:S is more improved than it was when it first came out (duh), BF2 and 2142 have a lot of people playing, Guild Wars and WoW are also big...

But I'd really like to have 1.6 again. I miss going to a server and knowing people and being somewhat friendly with most of them. I play on [YG] from time to time, but usually when I know people (or don't care), and sometimes it's awkward, but not always.

As for the servers, it depends on the game. I'd love to see another 1.6 up again, and I'd actively play on that server, and whatever. As for donating, I'd more than likely be an inconsistant donator, due to the wacky fund situation of many college students, but definitely something I'd think about if the time came that I was able to donate.

...and now, to put that tag back on my name. Just plain "Veritas" is overused anyway.

As promised, here's a forum to discuss things.

My gaming focus is pretty narrow these days. I'm currently playing: Gears of War, Battlefield 2142, FEAR, Counter-Strike: Source, and the original Quake. Since they're all multi-player, I'd love to join some acquaintances and frag together. My feeling is we should use TH as our tag. After all, the bulk of the posters in this thread hail from Think Hardware :). With respect to clan hierarchies and all that crap, I say to hell with it. If someone is that much of a prick, they'll get banned here and that should signify they're no longer affiliated with us.

One of the things I never quite understood was the ridiculous grudgmongering poeple seem to have regarding their FPS life. Have an issue? Shoot 'em in the head? Can't do it? Too bad. I, like many, know the too bad part real well.

There was a lot of bs flying around the [THE] CS server when the lights were shut off. No denyin'. [YG] is not short of soap operatics and people who love stoaking fires, but I still seem to have fun playing there and wish all you would forget your differences and come get shot in the head. Nubs.

It's sort of abandoned at this point. The machine I was hosting it on will probably go away within the month for financial reasons. If people are willing to kick in a monthly gift/donation/contribution/whatever, it could be saved. The machine costs me $69/month and can easily do at least a 24 slot CS:S server.

If you guys can raise that sort of cash, let me know; preferably within the next few days.
