do you have the punkbuster checked on your game? Do that , make sure you have a current upgrade. It normally upgrades itself but once in a while there is a problem with it. We also had a teamspeak failure last night.

almost sounds to me like your fire wall is active against the game? Or maybe it's the punkbuster block is not ticked in your settings? I know someone already mentioned that but hey have another look C. Can't hurt.

hmm good point, anyone know the port/ports i need to forward? where is this punkbuster block? i can get into the game, and i have a 25ish ping so its not a problem with actually connecting, im in there long enough to click which pack i want and right before i click done to spawn the game freezes and then it goes back to the main menu and gives me that lil message window.

if you use a program called Process Guard, punkbuster wont even let you look at online play. you have to completely uninstall it. and yes, i shutdown every pg process taht was running too. it sucks because pg is a great program for anti-spyware/viruses. it allows you control over what runs and what said program can do when it runs.
