We Went Green!

Yeppers we are now a BF2 Special Forces server. We have found out that we can also incorropate the BF2 maps into the server as well, which will greatly expand the play. I would like to take this time to publicly say "SORRY" to our newest memeber Covert the pervert,,, so sorry I was cranky last night , you had some great rounds and I ,,, well I just plain sucked lol but hey what else is new???? Don't ever take the cussing personal,, esp when it comes from Tote or me hahaaa and then ofcourse there's George hahaha we love him!

So...um...if we put both maps on the server, won't that mean that when it changes to a regular BF map that it will quit SF and start up normal BF like it usually does if you are in one and play the other?

well, I'd imagine that'd go red whenever a basic BF2 map was played, then go to green whenever it was a SF map

Might be a pain for pubbers if we have to switch games every couple maps.

Seeing as how I don't have SF yet (YET being the key word...), I'll be on there when I can, but I can't play the SF maps yet (for reasons that should be understood).

That will change soon.

The server has to be swtiched over to the SF mod and back again for the maps of each to be played. In other words, the server has to be restarted in the Red (BF2) mode or the Green (BF2SF) mode for each set of maps to be played.

SO in other words, we can switch off the red and green for different days or whatever, but it's not a per map thing. The server has to be shutdown to change from one to the other. Reason is that the SF maps are incompatable with the regular BF2 server and vice versa.

Although I heard a nasty rumor that you can copy SF maps over to the BF2 side and play both. I will look into that and see what the real deal is, but for the time being, we simply have the luxury of playing one or the other.
