Unlocks

Well, nobody wrote one about this yet, so I thought I'd get some opinions before I go get one (made it to the next rank - 1 unlock :) ).

So...which ones do you guys like? What would you recommend (other people might want to know in the future anyway)


*Combat Medals Update (because it doesn't need it's own thread...as far as I know... :huh: )*
I only need the sniper and support kits, knife, and pistol before I have all of the basic combat medals. I finally got engineer tonight (took me about 2.5 hours, but I got it :P ). Now hopefully the sig updates (since it hasn't yet).

The only one I don't have is Engineer so I have no opinion on that one

The first two I would get are the AT and Support unlocks

The next two would be SF or Sniper

For the most part I find that the standard guns fot assault and medic are better except if you are Chineese. They must have got theirs at Wal Mart



A lot of people like the medic one but for me I am more accurate with the iron sights The G3 would be good if it had a grenade launcher attached

First one was the DAO-12 (AT) then LA_05 (Medic) and then .. G36C (Spec Ops) and then.. G3 (Assult).. then Sniper (M95).

Of course I dont use the sniper all that often since Im' a non-sniper guy. (and my stats reflect that)

**Edit - yeah the medic gun is very nice - one of the few assults with a scope - think SG552 from CS.

First I got was SF, then Support...the next I unlock is probably going to be Sniper than AT.

It all depends on what you like to play I think...the Medic unlock is pretty sweet if you like that kit...I really like the SF unlock though, I use it almost exclusivly...sometimes I use the default US gun.

Just got the game 2 days ago myself. I went with the sniper rifle. Havent used it yet, been working on my medals first and learning each class before i focus on one

Oh I was there for a little bit yesterday, I was dieing plenty. Rammer and Clark were getting me good. Tanks... haha. Let me try and do that sig thing. You can see your kill death ratio is better then mine.

Veritas Rain actually has played a little longer than you At least that is what it says as I type this I know there is a delay between updates

Oh well ok then. Can't feel bad about that then. Thanks for fixing that :).

I still need to get support (support is evil...) and knife, and then I'll have all of the basic combat and will move on to the next one...probably medic veteran combat.

I unlocked the Anti Tank weapon, but I have not tried it yet, as I have been working on the combat medals. I shall try that soon.

I must say that I'm glad I bought the game. It has definitely been more than I expected, which is nice.

I would have to say my favorite unlock is the PKM (support). its worthless if you're standing or crouching but it rocks if you are in the prone position. It does a crapload of damage and if you live long enough you can take down a chopper with it. Jump down into the prone use 3-5 round bursts and watch the bastards drop like flies. I love taking out snipers with it, too. :D

Yeah, I kinda hate the support gun. I've played a few rounds trying to get the support combat medal...one round I had 8 kills (need 10). It's upsetting :( .

Then I have to try and get knife. Everyone said I was crazy earlier for running around with just a pistol. It was actually kinda funny (I thought). So after support I'm going to at least try and do the same knife thing (run around with a knife and get the knife kills required for the knife combat badge (7).

Well, time to go on there and try to get support. Man this game is addictive... :P

I was just looking at random peoples stats on bf2s, and I found a stat I never saw before... Cost. WTF is that "Cost ($50 base)" under misc stats?

Cosmic the game costs normally $50 so thus just divide whatever by the cost

Was just promoted, time for next unlock. Don't know what I'm picking, will probably pick a random one and try it out (eventually the key is to unlock them all anyway...)

has noone said the assault unlock? G3 is the hotness

Sadly i waited so long to unlock that one. Its my absolute favorite gun
in the game now that I have it. besides the DAO. like a fool i unlocked the
dopey ass sniper rifle instead of the spec ops one.

I have Medic, AT, and Special Forces.

I like these unlocks so far, and use them instead of the original weapons.
