Or better yet Cheating Death. I used to only play on servers running cheating death, but they’re tough to find these days. I have been playing CS for 4.5 years, and have never seen anyone cheat while in a cheating death server.

4.5 years huh? Ha, I've been playing for about 6 or so, since Beta 2. I think with HLguard, they've got it pretty covered, I don't think theres been much hacking since getting that on the server. I could be wrong.

HL guard covers most everything. Only stuff getting through is the blatent wobbling while running that you can detect and ban instantly.

I was in a server this past week that was running HL guard and there was a player with AimBot and Wallhacks I watched him walk into walls while following players... custom hacks are NOT detected.

Ya , Bassy is right on the money here, no matter what progies are used on servers, there will ALWAYS be hacks that can get around them. Little smacktards cant play fair and have no skillz so they cheat! ..me on the other hand have no skillz and suck lol

HL Guard and Cheating Death. Neither one does a complete job of blocking the hackers, there is always someone who can get around it. VAC is doing a good enough job for the moment, but even that isn't getting it done. The main issue with CS 1.6 is the Halflife Engine. Since everything runs locally from the client side, there is not a complete solution to hacking. AND on top of it, there is the myg0t guys that are continually trying to hack games and will always be aroudn to bother decent folks and try to ruin our good time.

So bottom line, we tried it all, but none of it stopped it. So, to quote Mad-Eye Moody, "Constant Vigilance!!!!"

Rgr that Totey! - going on 8 years fraggin' together - running headlong into death with mac 10's blazin' ,,, there's been alot of big changes, and unfortunately it seems there is a new breed of hacks out there, NOTHING like in the days of wish I could make this print smaller,,,(usa) ,,, some of the stuff I've been seeing is tough to spot, and constant reading in hacker sites is required to keep up with it.
