Everyone post their location and willingness to travel and how far if I were to arrange a TH get together this summer. If possible I'd like to stage it at someone's house or apartment so we wouldn't have to worry about hotels and whatnot. If you're willing to let us crash at your place then make note of it here. It could be a couple day lan party or just a hang out session or whatnot. I'll take everyone's requests into consideration, but be aware that not everyone can be satisfied.

Driving distance depends on when its held. This should definitely be a weekend thing. Im willing to drive at least one state away. Maybe more, depends...

I managed to meet up with Pat when I was in Louisville, so I'll go that far ;)

ummm...a close major city would be cool, I'm only about 3 hrs from Chicago or Indianapolis

My current location is roughly 50 miles north of Chicago. Currently the distance I can travel is limited by how much time my parents have to waste, so I doubt more than a 50-60 mile radius. When and if I get my liscense, I will still be limited by available gas money. But since our Honda Civic is a decently economical car, I should be able to go out to 300 miles, assuming I can scrape together enough money for a tank of gas. This is also dependent on whether my parents will let me drive out to somewhere that far away by myself.

Then again there's probably not much point in me attending in the fist place.

EyePoker

You'd be on my way to anywhere south of Wisconsin DB, I'm sure something could be arranged.

And I can switch the week of my timeshare to where-ever I want to and it would only cost me $144.00 and between 8 people, that isn't much. Dammit I almost know for SURE I'm not gonna be able to go lol. I wont be 18 by that time and my parents are very strict and paranoid about me going places. Plus the fact im going to someones place to meet a buncha people i met ONLINE might also make them...uneasy about it. If this really happens we gotta make it annual or something, I could do it next year cause I won't have to worry about what my parental units have to say about it. :) But yea I would bring my lan box, movies, i would bring my guitar too Jesus we could jam, play some old Metallica tunes or somethin. And I think we could fit a lan party in that place, i mean we'd have like what? 10-15 people tops comin to this thing. I'm used to setting up people in a lan party in cramped space. We had four people in a small room aproximately 12ftx9ft which was also crammed with a bed and stuff as it was, sure I had to crawl under a card table to get to my seat, but luckily im not old and unmanuveurable

As for the age thing, c'mon! we'll have Scale sit down and talk to your parents and *make* them understand. :shifty:

...ok, I'll make scrambed eggs, but only if I put cheese in them!
Oh damn, I play guitar almost everyday, for about 6 years, there were a few month or two spreads where it got boring but at least for the last 2-3 years ive played guitar like 360 days a year.

BTW I think my parents would be scared to look at scale, lol. And I have to make eggs too! I make a mean cheese n ham omlet. See!

I can make a decent western omelet (peppers ham cheese onions, basically the works (w00t)) and if you give me a dutch oven I can whip up some cobbler.

added. And if we run out of food I can whip up a rice meal thats worth mentioning (thats what happens when your on an island without modern conviences and the racoons and deer steal all your food... the meal however contained like 2000 grams of sodium or something... stupid key deer and coons x.x)

The timeshare has a fully equipped kitchen and a small grocery store on the premises that will stock the fridge for you before you get there. For anything more than breakfast, will have to run to the store for other foodstuffs...let's say, lasagne or chicken caccitore? :shifty:
