My CS buddy $tylin n Profilin or however you spell his name was with me in the server last evening, and he was doing quite well, something like 13-3. We were on assault and CT. I ran into the hostage room, and as I cleared the corner for the 2 hosties deepest in the room, lo and behold, Dogbrain was crouching there, and I got capped. Then, I spectated him and noticed that he didn't move from his position. My corpse was sitting there in front of him, visible if you just look into the room from outside the doors when they're open. I thought, "Hmm, easy camper death for the next CT that runs in there."
So my buddy $tylin runs in there and caps the guy in the head without so much as a "hello." He was then immediately kicked, by Dogbrain. When I asked why that happened, it was said that he is too good, or that his score was too good. It was also mentioned that he wouldn't have fun playing on a server doing this good.
$tylin came back and we played a couple more games. He did quite well, though perhaps not as phenomenally as before, and was kicked once or twice, but I didn't raise any furor. He just came back in.

I've seen others do as good or better than $tlyin' in this server, without being kicked, though they seemed to be more well known in the server.
My question is: Should I expect this type of stuff to happen whenever we play in the server and one of us does good (particularly after a good kill is made)? Is this the normal gaming experience?
Until otherwise informed, I'll tell my friend to take the kicks as a compliment.

Sometimes we all lose our tempers on the server and react. Pay it no mind - he was kicked, and not banned. Huge Difference. Also could have been that people were trying to get into the server as well, and he was the lucky one to be chosen.
In either case, The guy is welcome back to play with us, as long as rule #3 isn't violated. (Please see rules on website for details on rule #3)

yah...most of the kicks are to let a clan memeber on.
some times of the day it's all [THE] members and family...we have too many regs for just a 16 person server

Sometimes a simple asking nicely for people to leave to fill a spot goes over better. Last night i was kicked to let a THE member on, or so I was told. There were other non server regulars, but whatever. I take it very much as a slap in the face, as i am sure others do...

No one ever wants to leave... THE members pay for the server and they should have priority to play on it over others. The fact that you take it as a slap in the face is just stupid. It's absurd that THE members should have to wait 30 minutes for someone to leave while the admin politely asks "hey, could someone please leave so we can get THE members in?" It's much more convenient just to kick someone at random...

I think I agree with poker. I've yet to be kicked, and I know it would annoy me, but it's their server, so they do get priority. Maybe a "Hey XXXXXX, im gonna kick you to let a [THE] member on" so you arent left saying "WTF?!"

Exactly jesus guy, sorry dont know if you go by another name. A simple explanation before hand goes a long way. And yes i would leave if asked. The fact that makes it worse, is that there were a few non server regulars that could have been kicked, but instead choose to alienate regulars. Its no secret a bunch of THE dont like mw. So quit hiding behind excuses, we are all adults here.
I don't come here because of the player skill level. I come here because I would like to think some here are friends. After speaking privately with a few THE members the past few days, seems a majority think we cheat. Are these friendships false and nothing more then a suck up to me when i arive then backstab when i leave? At any case, can email me at baltman9@comcast.net if you want to keep it private. If you wish to vent or express something email and we can try and work it out.

Actually Rainy, the night you were on and that you were kicked, everyone non-THE were regulars. If it were a simple case of them not liking you and thinking you hacked, well then I am sure it would be told as I know most of these guys have the balls to actually come right out and tell you what they think and or feel.
If I remember correctly, it was you, vain, me and I think one other guy that were not hardcore THE regulars, but the one guy was a personal friend of a player and Hitokiri is my BF, so it was between you and vain.
I am sorry you are upset. I am positive that your being kicked wasn't because you are thought to hack or to piss you off and if you feel it was, this was not the intention hun.

Actually i am on THE server damn near every night, don't know how much hardcore you can get. On more then half of the THE members. But, I am not here to debate this any further. There will be no swaying from any parties. I won't back from my stance and I am sure you and THE won't from yours. I left an email, if people wish to discuss it in private. I don't want to talk about it in the open here.
Side note, multiple members have accused/questioned(take it as you will) me of kills before. I normally shrug it off.

Sorry to hear it Rain. I personally never accuse of cheating until I see it from their first person view. Ever see a HS script at work? It's nuts! But easy to catch...

Rain,
I do believe that cheating and hacking are not the issue here.
There are multiple reasons why a person would be kicked from the the server.
1. Some people get kicked for simply breaking rule #3 - which is, "Don't be a jerk".
2. Some people get kicked because the admins want to get on, and the server is full.
I dont see any reason why any member of [THE] has to be at the mercy of any server player, so that a due-paying [THE] clan member can get on. I understand the request for courtesy, however, in the game, there simply isn't any recieved by us, so, we will not give any in return. All we get from people is grief for some reason or another, and I dont see why we have to let regular server players, as well as non-regular server players run over us. We simply won't do that. This is a video game, not a tea-party, and we can admin our server as we see fit. It's a stark reality, however, it IS a reality.
I consider this thread closed.

P.S. Oh and having a great score doesn't mean you hack. Duh.
