Okay, ive got this old dell celeron 400MHz system lying around.. its the L400C model and ive got a celeron 1.1GHz processor.

Is it possible that i could use that 1.1GHz processor on the board that runs the 400MHz?

If it is the same type of CPU. I upgraded my 648Mhz system to 1.4Ghz. So if its the same type it seems like it should work. Oh and type like slot type or whatever. Did you check the mobo manual it should say in there.

They're both socket 370. I checked on dells site and it doesnt have the motherboard manual. I guess i'll just try it out, it shouldnt fry anything right?
