Well I meant to post this a couple weeks back, but better later than never.
Basically, I applied my leet modding skillz to my Gameboy Advance. As it is the original (and best!) model, it was fatally flawed by the ommission of a backlight. However the fine folks at Triton Labs (http://www.tritonlabs.com/) bought the patent for the Afterburner (http://www.tritonlabs.com/index.php?page=products) from some student that invented a backlight that could be fitted to ya average GBA. Good huh? Only problem is that it need fitting. Now Xyramax (http://www.xyramax.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/28_22/products_id/49) offer a fitting service. But that costs almost as much as the Afterburner, and anyway I thought I'd have some fun with my soldering iron.
Well I managed to completely fuck the first kit I received by scratching the delicate light after reopening to fiddle some more with its placement, and ended up fitting a second kit that is pretty much flawless.
Here's the pics:
This is the scene of devastation and potential disaster!
