I got banned for using my headphones

I had been playing on your server for a good while now, about 2 weeks, because I get really good ping on it. I even downloaded Cheating-Death just so I COULD play on it. Now...my question is...why do you guys run CD if you won't trust it to block cheats for you. I think it was Gun_Babe who banned me cause I was listening to my headphones (3D sound is exceptionally useful) and pre-fired on some guy that was rushing me to stop me from defusing. Bam. I must be hacking, right? cause nobody who doesn't hack can or will shoot through walls, or uses sound to predict an enemy's position. Its totally inconceivable, as well as being proof of my hacking.....right?

Now, normally when this happens, I don't bother to defend myself because A) there are plenty of servers out there and B) what can i really say that you'll believe if the decision is made based on such circumstantial evidence. But since I don't get usually get this kind of good ping very often, and since you all had been pretty cool up to this point, I thought I'd take a stab at it. Stop by my clan's IRC channel, (#ramen) and maybe the website (http://omicronweb.net/fbr/). Meet the folks, and lets be buddies, cause I heard you guys are starting CAL soon. FbR is a reformed clan starting CAL-o, with former cal-im and m players.

I like the fact that your being mature about it. I have no say in what the clan does, but I will say I will stop by your IRC and website. Always good to meet new CS players with maturity.

O.k. first of all I appreciate you posting maturely and second yes it was me that banned you and now I will explain why, and it wasnt for using headphones. I banned you because you knew exactly where I was coming from earlier on in this map even though I walked all the way and never made a sound, but you knew exactly where I was and where to point before I even got there, ok, this is what made me watch you just a little closer than I had been, then youre getting ready to defuse the bomb and this guy also was walking on the other side of a wall and you knew exactly where he was and waited for him to come around the corner and shot him. I have headphones and they still dont allow me to hear players that are walking, as I first personed you I did not hear that guy coming so I dont know how you did. Now as far as us running cheating death and not trusting it, thats only because there are hacks out there that have been working and getting past CD,HLG,and VAC for 9 months now and I had just been to a site that was full of all kinds of hacks that will get past any one of these anti cheat programs, so my best anti cheat program is my eyes and thats the most trustworthy way I have found of detecting someone cheating. Now having said this, I am not one to accuse and ban someone of cheating unless Im at least 99% sure thats there is something definately not right with the way they play and this does not happen very often, in fact I have recently watched a couple of our "regs" with a lovely lil hack that includes aimbot,no recoil,wallhack and auto headshot all in one, this hack works on the ak. the last one I watched only got to use his for a min because CD worked just like it was supposed to and placed him behind the opposing player so that he could not see them,then he froze up and could not move and was disconnected.
I really hope youre understanding what Im saying and if you dont I highly recommend you go read up on CD and how it works that will explain it better
than I can. Now I am a reasonable person to talk to and I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt on this one and will allow you to come back and play but if I see anything that doesnt look right to me I will call you on it on the spot. Dont ever think that I dont know what to look for because my hubby (B.S.O.D) has educated me well on hacks how they work and how to spot them,alot of them are almost undetectable. Post your wonid and I will unban you but I will still watch you very closely.

Once in a while I do well when playing CS, but im never accused of being a hacker. Im so dissapointed in that. :ph34r:

The few times I've had the joy of playing CS when I had BB, I was running with a very nice 7.1 digital sound. Now I'm a horrible rotten, camping terrorist, and I love to hide behind doors, and you can pretty much hear when someone is approaching. Perfect time to put the M4 to the door and let 'um have it.

Well, let me say that I appreciate being unbanned. My WONid is 2967003.

I think I remember the time you are talking about Gun_Babe, since you asked me how I knew you were coming that way after the round ended...it stuck in my head. This is what I remember.

I saw two t's rushing ct DD from t DD. I had an awp, and picked off the one that was lagging behind, but I couldn't get my awp back out before the one in the lead got through the doors heading for CT spawn. So I knew that at least one t was back there. so I hung out around the bombsite until i was pretty sure you weren't coming back, then I jumped into the sewer from the bombsite and made my way over to the other site. I saw my teammate covering the larger archway out of the site, so i moved into the ct-side bridgeroom and peeked out into the site. You fired first, and it was just that your ping is constantly 4x more than mine that saved my butt. I swung my xhairs over to you and shot you. I didn't know you were in the exact spot you were, but I was sure that you were in that general vicinity.

As far as the defuse situation, as far as I remember, that guy was run/walking, ie. he was running then would walk, then run. I heard him run off, I attempt the defuse to draw him back (cause I was pretty sure he could hear me attempt) and then pre-fired as he came running around the corner.

I can appreciate how hard it is to detect a wallhacker who know what he/she is doing. I used to admin my ex-clans server. Aimbots are easy to spot...wallhacks...much tougher. AND I know that its much easier just to suspicious people then to hear them out, and I appreciate you hearing me out. Peace out G's
