God said "And let there be light so that SnipeBoy can see if the power is on (lol) and if the HDD is working". I found out why my LED's were not working, for some reason the connections were the wrong way round, even though they were correct according to the mobo distructions book. So when I tried them the wrong way round (from diagram in the book) they worked. :D
Well the question now is what colour should I change them to, the case is a nice silver colour, mOOk reckons blue would look nice and im inclined to agree with him but I thought I would ask to see if anyone else has any suggestions. And do you think they should be both the same colour or 2 different ones? At the moment they are the usually dull looking green and orange. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

See if you can get black-light LED's
Seriously, though, try red or blue.

Try like a white with a hint of blue like those new fangled xenon headlights.

Yeah I'd plump for white and blue. Something about them in a silver case would be rockin!

Yeah that sounds cool, I decided anyway they are only like 17p each so ill just get as many different colours as I can and try them all.

Ive got two blue ones on mine, but my case is blackish so... Maybe a White one for the power and a red one for the HDD?

I went to get some today and the man who was helping me tried to make me get really expensive ones than started saying i would have to change a resistor, in the end i just said id think about it and come back.
He said the ones that i have will be 2v and a nice blue one was 5v and the white one was 7v or something like that. Will i have to do something to a resistor and if so where is it? I was hoping i would be able to just pull these ones out and put the new ones in.

PSU run on 12v and 5v. The LED will be connected to the 5v supply. I believe the man in the shop was trying to get you to buy a £2.99 component over a £0.17 component... and you listened to this?

No, I just got a bit confused with the stuff he was saying, thats why I said I would think about it first. For a start I cant see where a resistor would come into it because the cable that the LED's run off goes directly into the mobo with nothing in between the LED and the mobo, so I dont know if he new what he was talking about. So I just thought it safer to leave it and try again when I know exactly what I need.
